COVID19 Best Practices for Jury Trials

The Court has entered the following general orders regarding COVID-19.  Click on the hyperlinks to see the general orders in their entirety.

General Order 20-05 dated March 16, 2020 references restrictions on visitors to the courthouse.

General Order 20-06 dated March 16, 2020 references court operations under the exigent circumstances created by COVID-19.

General Order 20-07 dated March 17, 2020 grants authorization for the U.S. Marshals Service to monitor court access by persons in custody.

General Order 20-08 dated April 1, 2020 provides for video and/or telephonic conferencing of certain criminal proceedings under the Corona Virus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.

General Order 20-09 dated April 6, 2020 amends General Order 20-6, continuing all jury trials, grand jury sessions and naturalization ceremonies scheduled to commence now through June 1, 2020.

General Order 20-10 dated April 9, 2020 deals with interim CJA vouchers

General Order 20-11 dated April 30, 2020 Amends General Order 20-9, continuing jury trials and naturalization proceedings through July 6, 2020.  Grand Jury sessions will resume June 9, 2020 with precautionary screening, social distancing and personal protective equipment measures.
