POWER Act

The POWER Act

The Pro Bono Work to Empower and Represent (POWER) Act was enacted into law on September 4, 2018. The POWER Act directs the chief judge of every judicial district to hold annual events to promote pro bono legal services as "a critical way in which to empower survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking and engage citizens in assisting those survivors."

The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma will sponsor or co-sponsor events each year and information will be updated to this page and disseminated as it becomes available.
